One of our first actions was to launch recyclable hangers. All hangers for our Bendon Everyday briefs range are made from responsibly sourced paper from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC), which customers can easily recycle after use.
We're currently developing other recyclable lingerie hangers so that this initiative can extend across our brands.
More to come on this.
We chose a more eco-friendly option for swing tags on all our new season products, which are made from responsibly sourced paper from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC).
We're always looking for ways to do better for our planet. Currently, reusable bags are used in New Zealand, but moving forward we will move to shopping bags made from responsibly sourced paper from the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). The bag, including handles, will be 100% recyclable. We will begin rollout from May 2022.
Polybags protect garments during transportation from our manufacturers to our distribution centre. There is no perfect solution, but we have found a better solution that improves on our current recyclable polybags. We have successfully completed testing and will begin rollout from July 2022, these will not only be made from 100% recycled plastic, but they will also be landfill biodegradable so that customers have an alternative option should soft plastic recycling be unavailable locally. We are currently in the pre-production phase and will shortly move to product testing to ensure that these new bags continue to look after your garments as they should.
